What we collect
- When you apply for enrollment: our enrollment application is a Google Form. It asks for parent or guardian contact details and information about your child, such as grade, school, date of birth and reading needs. Google Forms collects and stores those answers for us, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to how Google handles them.
- When you call or email us: whatever you choose to share with us.
- When you leave a review: the name you want shown, your relationship to the student, your child's grade (optional), your star rating, your review, and if you choose, your email. Your email is never published.
- Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site, keep it secure and block spam.
We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or tracking pixels. The only cookie this site sets is for the site owner while signed in to manage reviews. If you pick English or Spanish, your browser remembers that choice on your own device; it isn't sent to us. When you open the enrollment application you're on Google's site, where Google's own cookies and policies apply.
How we use it
- To answer your questions, review enrollment applications, and schedule consultations and sessions.
- To post reviews you send us. Only the name you entered, your relationship to the student, the grade (if given), your rating, your review and the month it was posted are shown.
- To keep the website secure and stop spam and abuse.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, our website host, runs the site and stores form submissions for us.
- Google (Google Forms) receives and stores enrollment applications.
- Review submissions are checked by an automated spam-filtering service that our host uses.
- We may share information if the law requires it.
Children's privacy
This website is for parents and guardians. It isn't meant for children to use, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. Information about your child is provided by you, the parent or guardian, in the enrollment application; please share only what's relevant to your child's reading support. Please don't include your child's full name or other personal details in reviews. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep enrollment applications and messages for as long as we need them to respond and to provide our services. Published reviews stay on the site until they're removed, and you can ask us to remove yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us by calling or emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state law. We'll respond within 45 days.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), strict security settings and limited access to submissions. No website can be 100% secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or medical records through our forms.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
